Fearlessleader85 comments on Louis C.K. statement released: "And part of it comes down to the fact that when you're in a position of soft power, there's often an urge to disregard it, and just talk to people as peers. This is actually one of the issues with humility. Often, humble people in positions of soft power try to dispel the power structure to put others at ease, but really it only puts themselves a ease. They then try to have a conversation with someone as equals, and they will say things that equals say, ask things that equals ask, and do things that equals do, but on the other side of the conversation, the power structure still exists. The person without soft power feels an obligation to defer, acquiesce, or accommodate when they would not do so with a true peer.
